Why is an equipment maintenance schedule important?
Poorly maintained equipment, machinery and tools and lubricants can result in contamination of your food. It can also lead to expensive breakdowns. Poorly managed maintenance work can also lead to problems. Prevent these issues by organising your maintenance into a planned schedule of what is to do done when. Record this in our downloadable schedule.
Ensure when work is done that tools, grease and parts are accounted for and cleared away at the end of the maintenance before the machine/area is used.
It is important to check areas and equipment before work and record these as a start up check. Do the same at the end of the shift.
